Hey There,

This is Leslie touching base since I haven’t posted in a while. Well, we have learned over the last few years that our busiest times for the year are March-May & October-December. Those are our two busy seasons. Since both Jeremy & I work at Citibank as well as running our business, we felt the need for a mini vacation towards the end of our Spring busy season. It was during our two week vacation from Citibank which was really well needed. Sometimes you just get so caught up in the moment of running your business you don't realize how bad you need a mini getaway  vacation until you actually take one.
Sometimes we need a little reminder to step back, take a breath & live our life to the fullest.

“Don't get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.” -Dolly Parton

We first took a little trip to spend time with our family in Comanche Texas for a few days & then went to stay with my sister in Arlington Texas for a few days.
While we were in Arlington, it wasn’t all play. We were able to photograph 37 fun & amazing women by taking professional head shots to further their careers in their Pure Romance business. Granted we still worked while away, but then again we love & enjoy what we do. We were given our first major curve ball with one of our pieces of equipment breaking right before the shoot. As the show must go on, we figured out how to wing it & keeping everything as close to perfection during our gig. We even did a few graduation pictures for one of the girls who just graduated nursing school! Congratulations Charlotte Webb. Their pictures are absolutely stunning & will be up soon. ;)
The next day was our vacay day out by going to the Texas Rangers vs. San Diego Padres baseball game at Globe Life Park in Arlington with my sister Angela, her husband Patrick. It was pretty entertaining considering we took our 4 & 5 year old nephews as well. I’m pretty sure their greatest joy during the baseball game was all the ball park foods. Thank goodness for dollar dog night. Jeremy even represented JL Vail Photography at the baseball game ;)

Well I hope everyone is getting excited about summer time. As it is our slow season because no one really wants to be in the heat, we will be doing a few promotions so be sure to keep your eye out & watch for the latest news on our JL Vail Photography Facebook page.

Below are a few pictures from our mini vacay.
